Absolutely love these kits
It arrived quickly, ahead of when expected. It was fun to stitch, the amount of material was excellent so mistakes could be corrected easily, and looked fabulous on the Christmas tree
Quick service and there was ample thread,I was a little disappointed that there were not better directions.
A well thought-out kit, with a good quantity of metal threads, material and a spare needle. The only thing missing is some beeswax (I had to hunt for mine because it’s been a while since I did any goldwork).
The instructions are clear and set out in the correct order of work, so there’s no messing it up. The kit is geared towards those who have done goldwork, so those very basic instructions are missing. If you are a total beginner this may not be the kit for you or if you need a refresher, it may be an idea to buy one of the other kits and do it first.
That said, I loved it! It’s a great project to pick up and put down if you only have a few minutes to work on it and it’s straightforward enough to enjoy working on it without feeling overwhelmed. In addition, it’s a really good size to get your teeth into and work at as it’s large enough to let you really practice the skills involved.
I’m thoroughly enjoying working on it and it will be ready for next Christmas! I’d recommend this kit to anyone and would happily do the rest of the variations. In fact….
