Goldwork Letter 1 Online Class- Chipping and Pearle Purl

The Goldwork Letters Online Class: Chipping and Pearle Purl is the first goldwork technique combination we will be teaching specifically for a lettering outcome. This class will be taught in a slightly different style to our usual, as it is for those with a bit of goldwork experience. We will be demonstrating these techniques on two letters which we will be breaking down into 6 characteristics, allowing you to apply those characteristics to whichever letters you want to work on.
When you make your purchase, select your letter template you would like to be sent to you as a download which will identify the characteristics you should be paying particular attention to and provide you with your letter design.
To encourage you to move your goldwork skills on, this class does not have a prepared kit, but we would like you to select your choice of bullion to make it more creatively you own.
Therefore for this class you will need:
- Goldwork Wire Bright Check (choose 1-3 colours to blend, total Bright Check weight needed 4g
- Pearle Purl (total weight needed 2g)
- Needle Embroidery No.10
- Thread to match Pearle Purl
- Thread to match fabric for Bright Check
- Pricker
- Pounce (alternative: carbon paper transfer)
- Tracing paper or carbon paper
- Gel Pen/ Water soluble Pen/ pencil (light coloured fabrics only)
- Goldwork Scissors
- Base fabric
- Mellor/Stiletto
- Velvet board (optional)
- Wax
- Embroidery hoop/frame
- Access to a printer (alternative: trace off a computer screen at 100%)
