For Autumn 2021 we have a new colour of tweed to add to our collection for the Camellia Online Class. This lovely aqua tweed easily traverses the inbetween phase with this bright colours but highly textural finish, it makes great accessories for late summer going into the Autumn as the weather cools.
We particulally love it when given a brooch back so it can easily be transfered between garments or popped onto the strap of a bag. Find it in the drop down of the Camellia Online Class and Camellia Online Class Mini Kits to make your own.
The Camellia class is based on the classic Chanel Camellia shape, with our own take on the infamous design. Our pattern and approach means camellias can be made from any fabric of your choosing and so we have mini kits in a variety of fabrics, or you can use your own fabric and just follow the class online if you prefer.
I’m afraid we are a little late with it this month but we have a new student of the month @kjsighn_atelier
When you see how well Katarzyna did with her Tambour Online Class Part 2 though, I’m sure you will forgive us for the delay and simply revel in their achievement.
It would seem they have a real flare for couture embroidery techniques as there are a few other great shots of other works on their instagram, you light also enjoy seeing like this jellyfish piece.
If you’d like to be this month’s #student of the month, tag us in your @londonembschool makes so we can see your stitching and be in with a chance to win one of our 10% off vouchers for our website. We’ll be doing it all over again at the start of next month.

Let us introduce you to the beautiful art of lace applique in this stand alone online class from the London embroidery school. Stitching alongside us, we have a stunning new corded floral lace motif to demonstrate on and provide in the kits. You learn how to select from your lace, prepare and apply the lace for a stunning finish every time. With particular emphasis on the stitch techniques and tension of your lace, you can add to and amend the lace to suit the shape you need so you can be confident in using your new applique skills in your own future fashion, bridal, interior or repair projects.
This class has been remastered for this new lace kit design so if you wish to work on the same lace pattern as us you can get a kit from our website. The approach can however be applied to any lace you desire so if you prefer to use your own, you can buy access to the online class on its own and start right away.
Side Note: Those who purchased the lace applique class before Aug 2021 can still access the original class video unaffected.
Learn how to make your very own Pages Mushroom Pin Cushion, with our Online Class and Kit.
With a velvet, pearl adorned top and weighted melton cloth base for stability, this little piece is a great way to learn about the couture technique of pages and have a useful item at the end. The pages part of the mushroom are it’s gills, built up of many layers of cloth but we can explain more about that in the class and some other ways you might like to explore pages further, in other arrangements and fabrics.
Our first stitch along for a while- held on the 30th we were working on a small part of the techniques covered in our ever popular Beaded Coral Online Class.
