We’re diving headfirst into summer sparkle here at London Embroidery School with the launch of our brand-new Beginner Pineapple Tambour Beading Online Class Series—and we’re excited to share that Parts 1 and 2 are now live!
This fun and fruity design is the perfect way to explore the elegant technique of tambour embroidery in a relaxed, approachable way. Whether you’re brand new to tambour or just want a refresher with a tropical twist, this class series is designed to guide you through each step with confidence and style.
What You’ll Learn in Part 1:
Setting up your tambour equipment
Understanding chain stitch theory
Stitching in multiple directions
Starting and stopping your thread
Embroidering the pineapple outline with thread
You’ll leave Part 1 with a solid foundation—and a great start on your pineapple!
What’s New in Part 2: Beads, Beads, Beads!
In Part 2, we’re turning up the challenge (and the sparkle) by introducing beads into your tambour work. Beading adds weight to the thread, which brings a new level of technique and precision to master.
You’ll practise with:
✨ Large and small seed beads
✨ Bugle beads
✨ Stitching bugles into the pineapple leaves
✨ Adding rocailles beads to the pineapple body
Part 2 is where your pineapple truly starts to shine—and it’s a great next step in your tambour journey.
