Happy November 1st stitching people! It’s therefore time to pick a new student of the month winner which we are delighted to announce that August’s winner is Christina Pettitt of @fiddlyflowerdesigns
She submitted a series of photos following her participation in our class with guest tutor Clara Stitching where they were working on the Beginners Goldwork Wreath Workshop. It’s always nice to see how a piece progresses and as Christina herself says:
‘Progress is slow but lots of detail and techniques so far as you can see! Love the tranquility of sewing. My Mojo is back’
Christina has a pretty rich history of sewing with 40 years of experience in dress making and tuffet making which she teaches.
From her instagram it would seem that this is her first foray into goldwork so you can see how those skills can be transfered between different textile outcomes and techniques.
