Embroidering onto made up garments can seem like a mythical thing when it is an area that you cant just pop into an embroidery hoop to tension. Professional embroiderers way around this is to create a window frame in which to mount the area that wish to work on and just stitch into that area.
In this video we will be explaining what we mean by window mounting and how you might go about trying it yourself on your own piece. We will be working on a hand monogram  as we teach them in our online class series, but this approach can be used for a wide range of embroidery techniques when needed. We hope you find this helpful, enjoy!
Things you will need for window mounting:
Embroidery Hoop or Frame
Calico or stable base fabric- hoop sized
Thread for tacking- cotton or polyester sewing thread
