Thank you to everyone who came to our first gold work beginners class at the Hawthorne & Heaney studio. Gold work is a particularly gruelling technique and after a cup of yes and a piece of cake, ten intrepid stitchers took to the frames and begun their beginners gold work brooches. What they achieved in their short time was incredible and with placatory Hendricks Gin at half time they all seemed quite pleased with their handy work !
